This site is dedicated to my musical activities that span from my college days to the present. In this site, many of my past projects are marketed to music-related entities as orchestras, jazz and gospel-oriented groups, companies, and private clients. This site was also created to market my company's 30-year experience in developing orchestrations and arrangements for live performance and studio recording projects. Each link provides information on my music catalogs, services, past and present activities, and more. Please look through the Caldwell Music Services (CMS) page to get a sense of the "custom" work that we do. The HawkTime Music Publishing page contains catalogs of completed works that are available for rental and purchase. Let us know what your needs are! Below is a brief explanation of each link:
A brief bio of my life and education.
This link takes you to a page that describes my "side" business which has existed since 1993. Starting out as a music services venture, I was able to organize what I first perceived as a hobby into a business that has existed and thrived without advertisement or marketing. As a performer/arranger, I have been blessed to perform with or do arrangements/orchestrations for artists as Stevie Wonder, Richard Smallwood, Tavares (remember them?), Juanita Bynum, Chaka Khan (with the Lionel Hampton Big Band), Byron Cage, and many others. I should mention, here, that in addition to being a professor of music theory and composition at McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland College), I am also the Creative Director for Gospel Goes Classical, a trademark of the Artist Company International. My association with this company has allowed me to work with a few of the artists previously mentioned.
